This August, our friends at Indian Rock Mp3 complete two years of supporting Indian independent music. And what better way to celebrate this event than by releasing a compilation CD, featuring some of the current biggies in the Indian rock and metal industry!
Called ‘Indiean’ (Yeah, Indie + Indian), the compilation features all the bands that were featured under their ‘Artist of the Month’ section through the last year.
These bands include: Dark Horizon, The Circus, Lucid Recess, Blakc, Kryptos, Sledge, Demonic Resurrection, Devoid, IAFWAY, Artillerie, and Scribe.The tentative date of release is the 9th of August. And guess what, the album will also be up for free download!

Blackened death metal maestros Behemoth are all set to take the world by force as they gear up for the release of a new concert DVD. Titled ‘Evangelia Heretika’, this DVD will be released in the US via Metal Blade Records, in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records, and in Poland via Mystic Records. 1907

Finnish melodic death metal band Norther have released their first new track ‘Break Myself Away’ with new vocalist Aleksi Sivhonen. The song is up for free download on their MySpace blog where you can also donate a small amount of money to them as well. The song has also been posted on YouTube by various users, one of which is here. The song will be used as part of their new album, a follow-up to 2008’s ‘N’.

Music2deal.com – the Germany-based music networking website will be taking an Indian delegation to POPKOMM Music Festival 2010, an integral part of the mostly Europe-dominated Berlin Music Week. This delegation will comprise of regional music labels and an Indian band, which will open the showcases at POPKOMM 2010.
