Abraxas is a metal band from Pune, formed in September 2008 out of the earlier Rigor Mortis. In February 2009, months after forming, they won the national Campus Rock Idols finals in Hyderabad, a victory that earned them the opening slot at Rock in India 2009 in Bangalore, headlined by Iron Maiden.
After a quiet 2013, the band returned in December 2014 with the single Deviation and a refreshed lineup. Their last confirmed stage appearance was Cult Fest in 2015.
