Bloodywood is a metal band from New Delhi, formed in 2016 when guitarist Karan Katiyar, then a corporate lawyer making metal covers of pop songs on YouTube, teamed up with vocalist Jayant Bhadula. The duo built a following with parody covers, including a nu metal remake of Linkin Park’s ‘Heavy’ in 2017, before rapper Raoul Kerr guested on the 2018 track ‘Ari Ari’ and joined permanently the following year.
After early singles like ‘Jee Veerey’ and ‘Machi Bhasad’ and a slot at Wacken Open Air in 2019, the band released its debut album Rakshak in February 2022. Bloodywood signed with Fearless Records in October 2024 and released its second album Nu Delhi in March 2025, preceded by the Babymetal collaboration ‘Bekhauf’. The first Indian metal act to chart on Billboard, the band toured the US in 2026 on the System of a Brown run and is announced for Electric Callboy’s 2027 European and UK tour.
