Decibel is a progressive metal band from New Delhi, formed in 2003 by college friends Krishnan and Karthik out of the Sri Aurobindo College scene. The band gigged through 2008, composing originals including ‘Ghost in Your Mirror’, ‘Time Machine’ and ‘Naagin the Lady Cobra’, and worked toward a debut album that was postponed and never released. After a 15-year gap the band reunited for a show in New Delhi in December 2023 with vocalist Ankit (Hellbound Harmony), documenting the night on their long-running blog and stating an aspiration to perform at least once a year. No shows or releases later than December 2023 were found in checked sources; the band’s current status is unverified.
