Inner Sanctum is a death and thrash metal band from Bengaluru, formed in early 2007 by Chintan Chinnappa and Michael. The Provenance EP (2009) made the band’s name, earning it Headbangers India’s Band of the Year 2009, and the debut full-length Legions Awake followed in 2015 with guest appearances from international musicians.
The band has played festivals across Europe, including Metalfest Open Air in Poland and Burning Sea in Croatia. Longtime vocalist Gaurav Basu bowed out in 2023 with the single ‘The Face of Evil’, and Shashank Bhatnagar took over vocals the same year.
