Guitarist Sridhar, of ‘Transcend’ fame, has just brought out a new metal side project. Titled Melakartha, the music of this one-man project is a tad bit different from what we would otherwise associate with the artist.
Sridhar cites his primary influences as Devin Townsend and A.R. Rehman, as they are two of the musicians who single-handedly influence most of what he does. But Melakartha draws from an entire wide range on the musical scale, bringing together melody and groove to form one killer progressive/ ambient/ experimental metal project.
