The Jack Daniel’s Annual Indian Rock Awards is back with its 2009-2010 edition. For the last 4 years, the Awards has been felicitating the best rock talent in India. The previous winners of India’s version of the Grammys include Them Clones and menwhopause. As a mouthwatering side-dish to the Awards, the Rolling Stone Tribute to Dire Straits at Hard Rock Café in Bangalore was attended by India’s well known rock bands and Dire Strait lovers. The next item on the menu will be the Tribute to Nirvana at Hard Rock Café, Pune on January 7th 2010.
The JD Rock Awards is based on popular votes and the recommendations of an eminent jury that has previously included the likes of Luke Kenny, Milind Deora, and members of bands such as Indus Creed, Parikrama and Soulmate. The final winners after over 3 months of the jury’s consideration and online voting will be declared at the JD Rock Awards at the Grand Finale at Hard Rock Café, Mumbai on February 05, 2010!
