Zakk Wylde’s wife Barbaranne recently issued an update about the health of her guitarist husband. This is what she said:

New thrash metal to look forward to this 2009! Metal Gods Megadeth are back this year with their newest album ‘Endgame’. The album will be released on September 15th in the rest of the world via Roadrunner Records, and hopefully, not much after that in India.

Dark Funeral working on new album
Swedish black metal band Dark Funeral are currently working with producer Peter Tagtgren (of Hypocrisy, Pain fame) recording their new, still untitled full-length album. This has been scheduled for a November release Regain Records.

Trivium announces new drummer
Florida based metal band Trivium have just announced Nick Augusto as their new permanent drummer. Augusto was introduced to Trivium fans when he filled in in the band’s “Into the Mouth of Hell We Tour” trek. He is now stepping in to permanently replace the departing Travis Smith.

As I Lay Dying announce the title of their upcoming album
As I Lay Dying have announced the title of their upcoming, fifth full-length album as ‘The Powerless Rise’.
The band is currently finishing up recording of ‘The Powerless Rise’ in San Diego with producer Adam D. of Killswitch Engage fame. Fans can expect this new album to be released in the coming months in 2010 with plans for a headline tour also slated around the same time.
Lamb Of God: ‘Wrath’ Track Listing Revealed
Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD have finalized the track listing for their fifth album, “Wrath”, due in North America via Epic on February 24. The CD will be issued in other territories through Roadrunner Records.
“Wrath” was produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia, and New Hampshire.
