HYMNS OF HADEAN release EP ‘Thanatocracy’
Death metal band HYMNS OF HADEAN have released their new EP, Thanatocracy. The five-track record came out on 11th September as a self-release, and is available digitally on Bandcamp.
Formed in 2021 in Guwahati, the band play old school death metal and have shared the stage with bands like Fountainhead, Gutslit and Godless. Guitarist Anindya Sarkar and vocalist/guitarist Arka Dasgupta have been there throughout, with Argha Sen on drums, and guest bass played by Kungor Ingti Kathar of Kolkata’s THIRST OF FAUST.
Thanatocracy is built around death, violence and manipulation, and the band describe the EP in their own words:
The record moves through different manifestations of violence rather than treating death as a single subject.
Renowned Assamese guitar maverick Kraven Stratfile makes a guest appearance with a guitar solo on the track “Rigormortis”. The EP was mixed and mastered by Snehashish Koch, with artwork by Dennice.
