NIHILUS release debut album ‘Borealis’
Bangalore technical death metal band NIHILUS have released their debut full-length album, Borealis, on 2nd October. It is out on all streaming platforms and arrives ten years after the band’s only previous release, the 2016 EP Without Grey Matter.
Formed in Bangalore in 2009 by Siddharth Manoharan and Manu Manjunath, the band have been working on the album for years and were already previewing it back in 2020.
Borealis is a concept album about Earth’s gradual collapse, each track a standalone story tied together by an overarching vision of dystopian ruin. One of the songs was written both forwards and backwards.
The album has nine tracks.
