Iron Fist records to release Motorhead Tribute album

Iron Fist Records is proud to announce a tribute album by India’s metal underground for one of the most influential bands of all time, Motorhead. The album, titled simply “Motorhead Tribute – India”, is a reference to the iconic “Motorhead – England” imagery. As for the cover artwork, it follows a proud Motorhead tradition of featuring a thematic adaptation of Snaggletooth, and is crafted by one of the scene’s most prolific illustrators – Bevar Sea guitarist, Rahul Chacko. The line-up features some of the best old school metal bands from the country, spanning three decades. This just proves how Lemmy and company have influenced metal of various kinds, and how the band has made an impact on metal fans of all ages, whether you’re still a young kid, or well into your 40s. The album is scheduled for a summer 2013 release. This will be the label’s third release since its inception in 2012, following old school stalwarts Kryptos’ third album ‘The Coils of Apollyon’ in February 2012, and the doom bastards Bevar Sea’s self-titled album in October. The final line-up and tracklist in no particular order: Millenium [heavy metal, Bangalore] – Iron Fist Witchgoat [heavy/black/thrash, Bangalore] – The Chase is Better than the Catch Albatross [heavy metal, Mumbai] – God Was Never On Your Side Dying Embrace [death/doom, Bangalore] – Deaf Forever Mortar [thrash, Kolkatta] – Burner Bevar Sea [doom, Bangalore] – Turn You Round Again Shepherd [sludge, Bangalore] – Sacrifice Solar Deity [black, Mumbai] – Orgasmatron Djinn & Miskatonic [drone/doom, Bangalore] – I Don’t Believe a Word Dormant Inferno [doom/death, Mumbai] – The Game

Rectified Spirit release first single from debut album

Indian progressive metal band Rectified Spirit have released the first single ‘Bloodrush’ from their self-titled debut album on their Soundcloud page. The song can be heard at: https://soundcloud.com/rectified-spirit/bloodrush Guitarist and founding member Samudragupta commented “This track deals with guilt. Many times people do despicable things and commit sins under a rush of blood to their heads when they surrender to their more primitive animalistic instincts. But just when it’s done, only then does one realize that the guilt that follows will have to be borne only by the human being inside. That’s what Bloodrush does to us. It is the time when the sinner prefers redemption rather than forgiveness and the thing that is common between the sinner and the sinned is that none of their souls can rest in peace. That is the dichotomy or paradox of Bloodrush.” Rectified Spirit’s self titled album released on the 28th of December 2012. If you want a copy, order it online.

Blind Image to play at Asian Metal Festival, KL

Blind Image recently announced that they will be playing at the ASIAN METAL FESTIVAL in Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia , which is happening on the 9th of June 2013. The festival will be headlined by the legendary Indonesian band – Burgerkill. It also will feature various bands across the Asian sub-continent. Blind Image did a tour of South East Asia (Part 1) in November 2012 . This will be the second time the band will be touring this region . Krish, spokesperson for the band says – “We are really excited to be a part of this event. The memories from our last tour are still fresh. We enjoyed every single minute the last time when we toured this place and met some of the best people ever! And fans as well! When we finished the tour in November, we were confident that we have taken a solid first step in expanding our fan base over Asia and I think this just a result of that. The fans over there are just insane and thats the kind of crowd which every band would love to play for. We are also very happy that we will be sharing the stage with Burgerkill which is one of the most established bands from Asia. It’s really awesome to see that finally there is a stage for all the Asian bands to get enough exposure and create their own market. We are also very much looking forward to check out some of the other Asian bands and we hope to meet all the fans who had come for our shows during our last tour!” Blind Image will also have their new, still untitled album ready by June 2013, and say that their tour will feature some of their new stuff, along with their older songs too, of course. The band will announce a few more dates as a part of this festival shortly. The boys from Blind Image also released a statement that they will be touring India and few parts of Asia (apart from this particular festival) to promote the album.
