Silver Tears EP Info

Prog/Experimental Metal outfit Silver Tears from Guwahati has just finished recording their Debut EP titled “Dirt beyond Beauty”. Having gone through numerous line-up changes in the last two years the band finally zeroed in on a steady line-up starting this year having participated, finalized and won numerous competitions throughout the nation with the same. According to vocalist Johny ST’s debut contains the most motivated music they’ve ever recorded. “Brothers Amitabh and Siddharth Barooa- from Lucid Recess Studios helped us open up our perception of what our music could be” adds Johny. “We realized that we were entering a new domain with our EP. Now, we exactly know what we sound like- and how we want to sound like in the future” Adds Brittanta. The new disc, displays prog-rock experimentation with elements of Jazz and technical metal. “Our MO has been- to just brainstorm and work towards a sound that sets itself apart from anything in the scene today”, says guitarist Ishan. They’re giving away the E.p for free because they believe that’s the only viable way of reaching out to a large audience.”We believe the Concept of selling physical copies of albums will totally vanish in a few years. There’s a reason why biggies like EMI have shut-down offices all over the world- y’know!” explains Bassist Biswa. Though it’s taken them almost a year to conceptualize and work on this debut- Keyboardist Raktim believes the full length will come faster. “We’re already brimming with ideas-. We wanna do 20 shows all over the nation- spread the word and then get right back into the studio with just the experience- because that’s what we actually took with us when we went into the studio this time around- one year of gigging, practice and fuck-ups.” The album will be available for free download on their bandcamp page on the 30th of October. Tracklist: 1.Dirt beyond beauty 2. Euphonious odyssey 3. Deep within 4. Drifter You can listen to their track Dirt Beyond Beauty on their Reverbnation Page.
