Kryptos to open for Iron Maiden at Rock In India 2009

The complete list of opening bands for this year’s ‘Rock In India’ festival is not yet out, but we do know for sure that Kryptos is one among them. In a Headbangers India exclusive interview, we spoke to the band about this. Vocalist Nolan Lewis said, “It’s pretty unreal. We’ve been die hard Maiden fans since we were kids. Lamb Of God: ‘Wrath’ Track Listing Revealed

Richmond, Virginia metallers LAMB OF GOD have finalized the track listing for their fifth album, “Wrath”, due in North America via Epic on February 24. The CD will be issued in other territories through Roadrunner Records. “Wrath” was produced by Josh Wilbur and was recorded in studios in New York, Virginia, and New Hampshire. 258

Rock Ethos 2009

In 2008, Bangalore witnessed, for the first ever time, an all-day rock and metal show, called Rock Ethos. The objective of the show was to promote original music. ANTHRAX covers AC/DC and more, on upcoming album

In a recent interview with Anthrax rhythm guitarist, Scott Ian, it was revealed that the band has recorded “We Die Young” by Alice in Chains, “New Noise” by Refused, “Brain of J.” by Pearl Jam and “Whole Lotta Rosie” by AC/DC in the studio. The band has also been very particular about how they’ve covered the songs. 252

In a country where metal concerts are put under the same category as live bands in dance bars, one will understand the frequency and the freedom with which ‘real’ shows occur. Even during those occasional music festivals, justice is never done to a metal band because of sound problems.
