Swedish melodic death metal veterans Soilwork and Indian ‘gamer’ metallers Providence are the first acts that have been announced for this year’s edition of Bangalore Open Air, India’s largest open air metal festival. Soilwork have earned a mammoth reputation for themselves as consistent torchbearers of the Swedish melodic death metal movement while Providence have earned a reputation for their refreshingly ‘nerdy’ approach to playing and writing metal music. This year will mark 5 years of the festival so be assured that this is just the beginning. Just be sure to mark July 9th down on your calenders.
