Demonic Resurrection reveal artwork for fourth album ‘The Demon King’

Mumbai symphonic veterans Demonic Resurrection have unveiled the cover artwork for their forthcoming full-length album The Demon King.

 

The artwork has been done by Polish artist Michal ‘Xaay’ Loranc who designed the artwork for the last release as well. He has worked on other bands’ visual identities such as Reptilian Death, Nile, Behemoth and Vader in the past. The band decided to clearly go for a more homegrown feel this time around with depictions of (probably) the battle between Lord Rama and the demon king Ravana. The album’s tracklist is as follows:

The band will release the album on 13th July in India via Universal Music India, on the 14th in the UK and Europe via Candlelight Records and on the 15th in the US and the rest of the world.

The album can be pre-ordered from the UK already and will be ready for pre-order in India later this week. The band will also be touring the UK extensively during the month of July with a multi-city pub tour announced, supported by UK doom metal band De Profundis. They will also be playing at the Eradication Festival in Cardiff, Wales on the 12th of July. Before that, the band will be playing on the Dubai Rock Festival bill, alongside bands like Nightmare, Loudblast and Nervecell.

Demonic Resurrection confirmed for Sonisphere Festival, UK

Demonic ResurrectionMumbai metal band Demonic Resurrection will make their first UK appearance at the Sonisphere Festival at Knebworth, England, on July 10, 2011. This will be the first time that an Indian band has played the festival. Demonic Resurrection will be joining a high-profile lineup of bands that includes Slipknot, Motorhead, Opeth, Gojira, Arch Enemy, In Flames and Mastodon besides the headliners — the Big Four of metal — Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Anthrax.

“We (Demonic Resurrection) are at a loss for words to describe how we feel on being confirmed to play Sonisphere. Just the thought of watching the Big 4, let alone be playing the same festival as them, is enough to give us goosebumps, not to mention the insane lineup of bands like Opeth (who we’ve opened for in India), Arch Enemy, Periphery and many others who we can’t wait to see. DR fans can expect a blistering performance from us, it is our first gig in the UK and we intend to make it a memorable one,” said the band in a statement released to the press. This will be the band’s third international concert appearance after playing the Inferno Festival in Norway and Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic last year. The band also said that they would be adding more UK dates to their tour.

Sonisphere is a touring music festival that takes place over several venues across Europe through June and July. The festival is in its third year and has quickly earned top billing on account of the big names on its lineup. This year the festival will travel to 12 cities in Europe.

FOR RUIN re-releases ‘Last Light’ worldwide

For Ruin are pleased to announce a worldwide licensing partnership for their second album LAST LIGHT which is being re-released through the UK’s Casket/Copro Records on Feb 21st.

Last Light was self produced and self released in October 2009 by the band and the Casket re-release will also include a remixed and re-mastered version of “Towards an End” from the band’s Sentinel Records debut “December”(2007).

UK distribution will still be via all major retailers (HMV, Zavvi, Tesco, Asda, Amazon, Play , et al.), as well as all independent retailers with a PHD account. Digital distribution will continue through all major retailers (iTunes, Amazon MP3, eMusic, Tunetribe, 7Digital, Napster, Nokia, Rhapsody, HMV, Tesco, Cisco Device Store, Peoples Music Store, Play, We7), as well as also being available on Spotify and CDBaby.

Cyanide Serenity release five tracks off upcoming debut “Consume Me”

UK tech metallers CYANIDE SERENITY have released five of the ten tracks that will be appearing on the debut album “Consume Me” which will be released later on in the year.
