It was a Sunday evening and hundreds of metal fans gathered at Geoffrey’s Pub for the fourth edition of Unseen Underground Pub Fest. The Unseen Underground Pub Fest is one of the few events that metalheads can look forward to in Chennai. Despite the rare heavy rain that Murphy had to send on that day alone, fans turned up in decent numbers for the show.
After the success of the Opeth Tribute show held in Chennai recently, it’s time for some more original Indian metal. The fourth edition of the Unseen Underground Pub Fest is back. The gig is happening at Geoffrey’s Pub (Chennai) on the 27th of September at 7pm.
It has been just six months since Opeth played their very first concert in Chennai. The fans of the progressive metal can never get enough of their music as its varieties are almost close to infinity. When the starvation was still on, Unseen Underground organized a tribute show to Opeth in association with Geoffrey’s last Sunday.
It hasn’t even been a year since Opeth performed at IIT Madras’ ‘Saarang’ and metalheads have already started missing them and wanting them to return.
