Fronted by Sahil “The Demonstealer” Makhija, Demonic Resurrection has been one of India’s most prominent metal acts for some time, having toured throughout India in the Resurrection Tour sometime back and playing their own mix of symphonic black metal and death metal in the gr1m forests of the tr00 and kvlt black metal nation, Norway.
To be more accurate, they played the Inferno fest along with some of the giants of the current metal scene such as Ihsahn, Belphegor, Mayhem, Obscura and Necrophagist to name a few. Also, they’re
performing at the Brutal Assault Fest in Czech Republic, being headlined by none other than MESHUGGAH, along with CC, Bodom and Sepultura. Not to mention their third full length album that was released in January this year under the very first Indian metal label, Demonstealer Records, and was well received by critics and fans alike. And all this has led to the band’s presence being felt somewhat fierce in the international metal scene. Which has in turn led to this.
They’ve been signed by Candlelight records UK, who have bands such as Abigail Williams, Ihsahn, Insomnium, Zyklon, Obituary, Limbonic Art in their armoury, only to name a few. Taking this into account, I guess we can safely say that DR is all set to be an integral part of the worldwide metal community with “the unrelenting surge of vengeance”.
